The United Club℠ Infinite Card isn’t going to make sense for everyone, but it does pack a serious punch for United flyers—especially those who want access to United Club lounges when they travel.
Rewards: 4 miles per dollar on United® purchases, 2 miles per dollar on all other travel, on dining including eligible delivery services and 1 mile per dollar on all other purchases
Welcome Offer: 80,000 bonus miles after spending $5,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening
Annual Fee: $525
Other Benefits and Drawbacks: The main benefit of the United Club℠ Infinite Card is access to United Club airport lounges when flying United or another Star Alliance carrier. While the annual fee on this card is steep, it costs less than a standalone United Club membership. If access to United Clubs is your goal, this credit card makes the most sense to get you there. You’ll also be able to access other participating Star Alliance Gold lounges.
As far as other United benefits go, you’ll get your first and second bags checked for free when flying United, Premier Access, 25% savings in-flight and access to expanded award availability when you want to use your miles.
Even if you’re not sure that the United benefits alone make this card worthwhile, this card offers other travel-related benefits that could tip it over the edge. You’ll get up to a $100 application fee credit for TSA PreCheck or Global Entry, ability to enroll in Avis President’s Club, no foreign transaction fees, and other purchase and travel benefits including trip delay coverage, extended warranty and more.
