Kate Hudson is a self-proclaimed stage mom now. The Oscar-nominated actor supported her son Ryder Robinson’s band, Codependence, at a show at The Mint in Los Angeles and documented the event in a carousel shared on her Instagram grid on Sunday, August 21.
“Watching my baby ?,” Hudson wrote as the post’s caption. She also included her son Ryder’s IG handle and the hashtags “#stagemoms” and “#bestnight.”
The 18-year-old is the son of Hudson and Chris Robinson, the lead singer of The Black Crowes. Hudson and Robinson got married in 2000 but separated in 2006. Hudson also has an 11-year-old son, Bingham Bellamy, from her relationship with Muse singer Matt Bellamy, and a three-year-old daughter, Rani Rose Fujikawa, from her relationship with musician Danny Fujikawa.
Ryder is currently dating Iris Apatow, sister of Euphoria star Maude Apatow and daughter of Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann (who commented on Hudson’s post with a red heart emoji).
In the first photo Hudson shared on IG, she and a friend are pretending to be nervous stage moms before the show. Other photos include Ryder playing onstage, and Hudson watching the show with her stepdad Kurt Russell. See the post here:

Hudson, who played a groupie in the 2000 film Almost Famous, was dressed perfectly for a rock show: She wore blue jeans with a black T-shirt with her blonde hair in messy waves. She also paired the look with a tan jacket and lots of rings.
