Although QuickBooks is well-known for its accounting software, it has many other apps, such as Payroll, Commerce, Time and Live. Approximately 29 million small businesses in the United States use these apps from Intuit (the makers of QuickBooks). All these apps integrate natively on the QuickBooks dashboard.
If you are already using QuickBooks applications, it makes sense to use QuickBooks Payroll and integrate it with other apps.
QuickBooks has a built-in accounting program specifically for small businesses, which Gusto does not have. Although it does offer integrations with accounting software, such as QuickBooks, FreshBooks, Xero and more.
QuickBooks Payroll also offers you next-day or same-day direct deposits for its Premium Plan. However, it doesn’t report new hires to the state automatically, which Gusto does. Eventually, it does come to what are the features you must have and which ones you can manage without.

Who should use it:
QuickBooks Payroll is ideal for small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) that are already using other QuickBooks apps for accounting, payments and more.
